Dads and lads had some explosive fun making rockets ahead of firework night and after making them launched them in a park. Meanwhile, mums/grandparents and daughters enjoyed some pampering at a manicure session.

Tenants also got creative making candles for Diwali and lanterns for Halloween in art and craft sessions and hand-made mosaic tiled coasters and wall hangings.

Michelle Darnell, community involvement officer for Wellingborough Homes, said: “The children that attended the event along with the parents and grandparents really enjoyed these sessions. It gives people the chance to learn new skills as well as meeting new people.”

Wellingborough Homes is holding another week of free activities during the February half-term holidays. To book a place, or find out more information, please contact Michelle or Kirsty on 01933 234450.
